A new musical comedy by Bob Martin, Don McKellar, Lisa Lambert & Greg Morrison about a musical from the 1920s.
Mini-review by Carol de Giere: This show offers guaranteed laughs for musical theatre fans. The narrator invites the audience into his apartment (as supported by the set showing a refrigerator, etc.) where he describes and plays his favorite old-time cast album for a 1928 show called "The Drowsy Chaperone." In the most camp style with joyous costumes, that show comes alive on stage in the apartment. The narrator's emotions and responses milk the audience for maximum comic value. A joy to watch, especially after the first twenty minutes.
