Joey McIntyre, former New Kid on the Block super star who has sold millions of records, makes his Broadway debut in Wicked.

Does he have what it takes? Stephen Schwartz believes he does. He told Playbill writer Wayman Wong, "Joey did a great job when he took over in my son Scott [Schwartz's] show tick, tick … BOOM!, and I'm confident he'll do just as well as Fiyero. He's very charming, very musical and a much better actor than people who just know him from his pop-group days may realize."
